May 16, 2012 ~ Several Olathe School District high school students have been nominated for Blue Star Awards, the awards that are modeled after Broadway’s Tony Awards. This is the 10th anniversary that the awards have been given by Starlight Theatre. The awards are sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City.
The winners will be announced on Thursday, May 24 at Starlight Theatre’s Cohen Community Stage.

• Outstanding Scenic Design, Tier II, Olathe South, “The Wizard of Oz”
• Outstanding Technical Crew, Olathe South, Deck/Set Crew, “The Wizard of Oz”

Congratulations to the Olathe South golf team for their showing at the Regional golf meet. The team finished 4th place in the region with a score of 322. A special congratulations to sophomore Jayce Stuery who qualified for state after posting a 78. Also, seniors Zach Zerger and Luke Hougland will be representing South at state after each posting an 80 on the day. Great job this year guys!!!!
